EMERGENZA IN LIBIA [english version below] Nel carcere di Misratah in Libia, ci sono stati duri scontri tra profughi eritrei, che avevano rifiutato di fornire le proprie generalità all’ambasciata del Paese da cui stanno fuggendo, e la polizia di Gheddafi. Più di 200 persone sono state deportate con i container nel carcere di Brak, vicino a Sabah, nel deserto libico. Tra loro anche una parte degli eritrei respinti in mare dalla marina italiana nell’estate 2009. Se fossero arrivati in Italia probabilmente avrebbero avuto la protezione umanitaria. Invece, in queste ore, oltre a subire le violenze della polizia libica, rischiano l’espulsione in Eritrea, paese dittatoriale da cui stanno fuggendo. Tutto ciò deve essere fermato. EMERGENCY IN LYBIA In the Lybian detention camp of Misratah a group of Eritrean asylum seekers rebelled against the Lybian Police, because they refused to give their personal details to the Eritrea’s Embassy. More then 200 of them have been deported inside containers to the detention camp of Brak, near Sabah, in the middle of the Sahara Desert, Some of them were rejected last year in the Mediterranean Sea by the Italian Police. If they had reached Italy, they would probably have received the humanitarian protection. But they are now under the violence of the Lybian Police and they risk to be deported back to Eritrea, the dictatorial country form where they are tryng to escape. We have to stop it.
